Mother's Day

Why not plan your own day:

As mother’s day is approaching in a couple of days, I haven’t even had a chance to actually think about what I want. Even though it’s mother’s day we are responsible for all the other mothers as well. We need to buy gifts for mothers, grandmothers, mother in laws, sister in laws, sisters, co-workers, bosses, etc. How is it that we never get a break? This mother’s day I decided I want to plan and buy my own mother’s day gifts. I know what I want, how I want it, where and when, therefore, I don’t want a surprise. I’ve learned not to expect in order to not get disappointed. I don’t know about all the other mother’s out there but, for me, I have certain expectations of this one day. I truly want to be thought of, appreciated, acknowledged and spoiled. Since, in the past in hasn’t necessarily been what I’ve envisioned, I’m still very grateful, I want to make sure this year it is all I wanted and more. Therefore, I will buy my own gifts, take myself to a mani and pedi and make reservations at the restaurant I want to go to. I am sooooo excited, oh yeah, and I’ll write everyone’s name on my gift and thank them. I will let you all know how it goes, I truly hope everyone has an amazing mother’s day filled with everything you want or envision and more. Mother’s day is every day, we are truly super women, from giving birth (C-section or natural), to handling everything and anything on a daily basis. We make everything else happen why not the perfect mother’s day!
